Tokyo Stadium - Watching Rugby Friendly Match at Venue of Rugby World Cup 2019

Japan will host Rugby World Cup 2019 for the first time in Asian Countries.

Tokyo Stadium located in Chofu City, Tokyo is one of the host stadiums of Rugby World Cup 2019.

On 24th June 2017, I watched rugby friendly match(Japan vs Ireland) at Tokyo Stadium.






Tokyo Stadium - Venue of Opening Match of Rugby World Cup 2019


Tokyo Stadium is normally called as Ajinomoto Stadium because Japanese Food company Ajinomoto is buying the 49,970-seat stadium's naming rights.

Tokyo Stadium which was opened in 2001 as home stadium of Japanese professional soccer team F.C. Tokyo and Tokyo Verdi 1969.

Tokyo Stadium is elected as one of venues of Rugby World Cup 2019 and will welcome worldwide rugby fans at the opening game which will be held on 20th September, 2019.

Rugby is unfortunately now less popular than baseball and soccer, but the sport originated from England is getting more attractive among Japanese since the first win against South Africa at Rugby World Cup 2015.
